Pioneering University FinTech Program Kicks Off in September

In the sweeping wave of global digital finance, FinTech has emerged as a vital force driving industry innovation. Recognizing this, the Youth Bureau of New Taipei City is forging new paths by collaborating with Taiwan’s Blockchain University Alliance. Together, they are introducing an unprecedented, structured FinTech education program specifically designed for university students. Known as the FinTech Learning Circle, this initiative is set to begin on September 4 at New Taipei City’s Youth and Career Base, coordinated by Fu Jen Cathol University’s Financial Investment Laboratory.

An Integrated Approach to Learning

More than a mere set of lectures, this program promises a comprehensive FinTech learning experience by leveraging resources from industry, government, and academia. The curriculum is anchored in the philosophy of ‘learning by doing’ and includes four expert lectures, two hands-on workshops, and a capstone summit and project showcase. Participants will explore foundational FinTech concepts while delving into blockchain applications, RegTech, anti-money laundering (AML/CFT), and practical lessons on Security Token Offerings (STO) and Real World Assets (RWA). Esteemed professionals like Professor Ong Liqi from National Chengchi University and experts from Cathay Financial Holdings will contribute their knowledge, ensuring that young learners gain insights into cutting-edge practices and skills.

Showcasing Skills and Insights

A highlight of the program, the ‘Summit and Project Showcase,’ will unfold during the course’s final stage. This event will serve as a high-level discourse platform, allowing participants to not only hear from industry leaders but also to present their own innovative projects. This stage represents an invaluable chance for participants to demonstrate their practical skills and creative thinking by directly engaging with industry experts, thereby weaving a tangible thread between academic pursuits and industry expectations.
